This has all the prayers from the book of Christian Prayer (Liturgy of the Hours) without all of the flipping about as well as the daily readings and much more. I especially like the options for the source of the readings throughout and that it does not require a data connection. I have mine configured with readings from Grail Psalms, Jerusalem Bible with large print. There are a couple of minor quirks with options and such. This is an excellent app for the money and it is very well worth it.

The UI is in serious need of modernization. Otherwise, the content is wonderful and exactly what I needed to partake in the Liturgy of the Hours.

A brilliant companion

This app is everything I could imagine needing. I was a bit skeptical at first, because Im trying to remove tech as much as possible, so didn’t want to bring it into my prayer. However this is the rare situation when the developer really gets the use-case,and caters for basically everyone without overcomplicating things, jamming in advertising or a subscription model. It’s also subtle and the dark mode means it doesn’t jar me out of a prayerful frame of mind or light up a gloomy church like other apps or hunting the web would. I just got an iPad basically as a Universalis machine, because the kindle stuff didn’t work as well as I’d like sadly, and travelling with missal/breviary is a fair weight.

Access

Since subscribing to the app I cannot open the daily readings- there is no option on the toolbars to do this. I purchased the app for ease of use whilst on holiday. But it will only open on compline of each day with a block background- not like the general site - mores the point I cannot access any of the prayers only night prayers Please can you help 🙏🏻💕
