Release notes are not the place for marketing messages

PayPal seems to either misunderstand the use of release notes or deliberately abuses them to advertise their app. Like so many these days, they’re probably thinking no one reads release notes and files that space with marketing material. 👎 No, I don’t love the app.

No choice huh??

I don't want to set up a damn pass key! I have a strong password and that's good enough for ME! Why are you forcing us to set up passkeys now? I can't even close that passkey set up screen at launch to even look at my payments history! I advise everyone to not use this app, they don't even give you freedom of choice.

Privacy breach

The app somehow has all my phone contacts. Cannot find any setting to delete them/unsync them. And there is no permission in settings under Privacy or the app to give access to my contacts

Confusing fees and failed transfer issue

I transferred $6.11 using the free option, but it was declined and reversed. Despite this, I was still shown a $5 fee and received an email about it. My money hasn’t returned yet and I can’t re-add my card due to a glitch. This is confusing and stressful, and it made me lose trust in PayPal — fees shouldn’t be charged for failed transfers.
