Description

The beloved StaffWars series returns — now on the full grand staff for piano players and theory enthusiasts!
Building on the success of the original StaffWars and StaffWars Live, this version answers years of user requests for a game that uses both treble and bass clefs together. Perfect for pianists, educators, and students of all ages.

- Three Engaging Game Modes
Single Note Mode – Practice sight-reading notes across the entire grand staff. Customize note ranges for each clef, choose between key signatures or accidentals, and play in all 12 keys. Detects real instrument input in real time!
Chord Mode – A unique twist on chord recognition! Play the notes individually in any order and watch as the chord locks in. Available in key signature mode for authentic notation.
Roman Numeral Mode – Strengthen your chord theory skills. A random Roman numeral appears, and you must play the corresponding chord in any octave. Supports both untimed play and a challenging timed mode.

- Play Your Way
Customize clef ranges, accidentals, and keys.
Enable timed mode for a competitive challenge or play at your own pace.
Track your high scores and improve over time.

This app is great for training note reading, but unfortunately the Android version is not as complete as the one you find on the Apple Store. In the iphone app, you don't click on the name of the note but play it on your instrument and it gets picked up by the microphone. You can also choose exactly which note to use, and not necessarily a whole ambitus. Also very useful for instruments where you don't learn the notes in order. I wish this was more customisable, as well as for the note names.

On the Androind app there is no audio input as there is on the ipad etc version. So unlike on the ipad on Android you do not play your instrument and blow up the notes on the screen by playing the correct note. Insteas you touch the corresponding note letter on the screen. I would not have bought it if I had known this but it is only 60p wasted.

It's a nice app but please put the note buttons in thumb range rather than a line! It's a relatively small change that would make a huge difference.
