Boer War Defense is a tactical last-stand strategy game set during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899–1902. Wave after wave of British infantry advances uphill across open ground. You hold the crest with a handful of sharpshooters. How long can you last?

COMMAND, DON'T MICROMANAGE
Your riflemen fight on their own — taking cover, aiming and firing autonomously. You make the calls that matter: where to place reinforcements, when to fire a volley, and how to hold the line when the flanks give way.

HISTORY THAT ACTUALLY CHANGES THE GAMEPLAY
• SMOKELESS POWDER — Boer Mausers left no white smoke. Your men stay hidden until they fire, and the British shoot blind. Timing is everything.
• MARKSMEN, NOT MASSES — Your riflemen outrange the enemy, but you have few of them and every cartridge counts.
• COVER IS SURVIVAL — Rocks, boulders and sandbags are the difference between holding and being overrun.
• SCARCITY — Ammunition never fully replenishes between waves. Manage what you have.
• TERRAIN DECIDES — They come uphill across open ground. You hold the high ground. Use it.

ENDLESS SURVIVAL
There is no final wave. Enemy waves grow larger, faster and tougher. Flanking columns start at wave 4 and force you to split your defence. Your best wave is your rank — climb from Veldkornet to Kommandant-Generaal.

POWERFUL ABILITIES
Earn gold from every kill and spend it between waves. Equip three of five abilities and build a loadout that fits your style:
★ VOLLEY — every rifleman fires at once
★ SANDBAGS — drop cover exactly where you need it
★ RALLY — boost accuracy and rate of fire across the line
★ ARTILLERY — call a shelling strike on marked ground
★ RESUPPLY — reload every man on the ridge

VETERANS WHO EARN THEIR NAMES
Riflemen who survive multiple waves become veterans with sharper aim. The best of them earn legendary names — De Wet, Cronjé, De la Rey, Botha — announced with a battlefield promotion. Keep them alive and they become unstoppable. Lose them and you're back to green farm boys.

A NOTE ON HISTORY
The Anglo-Boer War was a real conflict with real suffering on all sides, including the civilians who died in the camps. This game depicts one defensive action, with respect for both sides. The British soldiers are conscripts under orders, not villains. No triumphalism — only survival.
