Description

Get hypnotized with this geeky interactive watch face.

Very simple at a glance, eye catching with a tap.

"Game of life is a cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970." / Wikipedia
This watchface uses simple Conway's algorithm to process pixelated time representation, giving you 2880 different, fascinating transformations.

Get excited with Conway's algorithm:
"The universe of the Game of Life is an infinite two-dimensional orthogonal grid of square cells, each of which is in one of two possible states, alive or dead. Every cell interacts with its eight neighbours, which are the cells that are horizontally, vertically, or diagonally adjacent. At each step in time, the following transitions occur:

Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, as if caused by under-population.
Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on to the next generation.
Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, as if by over-population.
Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell, as if by reproduction." / Wikipedia

Amazing idea ans implementation

I love Conway's Game of life(as any nerd does) and was happy to pay for this app. Once i realized that it used the time ss the initial configuration I was supremely impressed. What a wonderful watch face.

Developer Response

Thank you for such a pleasant words. Hope you'll find it even more engaging during the day. Tip: hunt for symmetric hours, ex: 02:50, 10:08 etc. They look just awesome!

Works

Animation still eventually hangs if let it run for more than a few seconds. (Is it supposed to do that?) Time now correctly displays after the watch's screen turns up, so its functional now.

Developer Response

Hi, please let me know if 1.1 update fixed the issue for you. Thank you, Maciej
