Excellent app for recording guitar. I always end up going back to J4T as it is so easy to use and has great recording quality. Just plug in via an audio interface and record ideas quickly. I've tried Fender Studio and bandlab and while they are bigger names and have a fancier UI, I find them overly complicated to use for quick ideas - find myself going into settings to change things. J4T just seems to works every time. Love it.... definitely worth buying in my opinion.

UPDATE: August 2026 This app has sadly gone downhill. 75% of the time recording tracks don't even register, the sound quality hasn't improved and the biggest issue is the EXTREME latency - it's impossible to create any projects. Searching for new app. WHY is the playback sound so harsh?! Am I doing something wrong? It sounds HORRIBLE. Just high-pitched static noise. Is it me or is it this app? I can't even use this for more than one track if it's going to sound like this!

Love it...but...edit function crashes all the time. Keeping it for idea sketches etc but cant get most out of it without edit working properly. So close to being best 4 track recorder on Android.

So much lag & out of sync-like issues ... it totally ruins all motivation. I've given this app more time than it deserved just in hopes it could be useful enough and it's too glitchy to ever come close to that possibility unfortunately.

Have you tried with wired headphones instead of Bluetooth earbuds? Bluetooth adds a lot of delay. Contact me at jaytronix@gmail.com if you get the same issues with wired headphones. Thanks.
