ITV News: Breaking UK stories

Where they get some of their content from leaves me totally baffled. Takes ages for articles to be removed/updated implying they've nothing new to add or they can't be bothered. Also, the local news for my area seems to cover half the country. In short, I only open this app when I need a good laugh and then get the real news elsewhere.

Opening any written news article automatically initialises the embedded audio news player, causing it to display a persistent media playback notification even though no audio has been requested or played. It also starts something called ITV MusicService which stays running in the background and messes with other music apps and can only be closed by force stopping the app. From an Android developer's perspective, this is considered a very poor practice. Issue has been around for 4+ years

I can't take any more of this app so I've just uninstalled it!. Why oh why does it play a podcast seemingly randomly whenever it feels like it!. Well I've had enough and just uninstalled this rubbish now. Going to try another news app instead.

The app is not updated as quickly as other news apps, headlines and braking news is slow to get published this used to be my go to news app but not anymore, I get updates from Sky News much quicker and more often then ITV news, shame as I preferred this app over Sky as I dislike the false and misleading advertising on the Sky app, but their world and local news coverage is much better than ITV unfortunately.
