The custom software engine also creates authentic-looking bokeh directly on your iPhone.

ICONIC LEICA LOOKS
Leica LUX was developed in accordance with the acclaimed color science of Leica, offering the same color corrections and film presets as found in Leica cameras. These Leica Looks include Leica Classic, Leica Contemporary, Leica Black & White, and Leica Vivid. More than 15 looks are currently available, giving your images rich textures, emotional nuance, and inimitable drama.

AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL CONTROL
Leica LUX allows you to expand your creativity, choosing between an intuitive automatic mode or full-fledged manual control. Manual photographers can adjust the exposure compensation, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, focus mode, RAW output, and more.

Leica Lux App

Fantastic experience so far. The interface is clean, intuitive, and very much in line with Leica’s minimalist design philosophy.

You’re paying for the Leica name in an app that freezes every time you use it.

The reason for two stars is because the app doesn’t get the basics right, and I mean the basics of an app, primarily being usable beyond taking 3 or 4 photos. Haven’t been able to take more than 4 photos as the app completely malfunctions and freezes. Why not 1 star? The actual functions are good, but not for beginners/casual snappers. There are a whole slew of functions that go far beyond what a non-professional needs, so definitely not an app for most iPhone users, and that’s perfectly fine. However, $10 a month for what is essentially a camera app that’s existed before in other forms but with the Leica name is incredibly steep. I suggest having a lower tier subscription price point for a more basic form of the app. But an app that crashes every time you use it is unacceptable even if it was free, let alone paid.

Decent camera app to use for the Leica colour

Great app to use and experiment. However there is a bug where the app keep on defaulting to ProRaw+ I just want to keep the photo as HEIF and no need for RAW to save storage space..
