Sven's SudokuPad

This app is the only reliable way to play custom Sudoku puzzles, which sucks, because it is also very buggy and outdated. It lacks a host of features that the free web version has, some puzzles simply won't load, and seemingly at random it wipes your data. When it's functioning, it's a good app. But until it actually gets an update - which it hasn't in over two years - I would steer clear.

I highly regret buying this app years ago. The app simply doesn't work well with many fog puzzles and it totally ruined my experience with many of these. If like me, you are into fog puzzles, stay away from this app. Otherwise, for other puzzles, it is a great app. It would be honest from the author to have a note explaining this before more people get deceived.

plagued with blank board. Tried contacting the developer Sven and Cracking the Cryptic. No response from either. Online research indicates this is a common problem with Sven's SudokuPad.

there's a few minor things that have yet to be fixed (ie. fog Sudoku not working properly) - but a big one for me is that the app gets very glitchy and stops working if there are too many Sudoku's saved. you can be solving a Sudoku, and then leave the app to take a call or make dinner, and when you come back none of your progress is saved! it just feels like Sven gave up on this sometime last year 😢

This is the best sudoku app! I love most that I can change the colors to whatever I want, and I've used so many of the features and love them all. The ONLY thing that stops me from giving a 5 star rating is that the fog does not clear in fog of war sudoku. Whatever clues are under the fog will become visible, but the cells stay gray. So it's hard to know if I've cleared any fog unless there are clues underneath, or unless I exit that game and go back in. It's a hassle, and the only drawback.
