Description

A delightfully crafted book tracker for readers who want their library to feel as personal as the books on it.

Log every book, audiobook, and eBook you read. Keep a daily reading journal. Watch your stats fill out year after year. Sync across your devices via your own Google Drive — your data never touches our servers.

──── Four views of your library ────

• Cards — a clean list with covers, ratings, dates, tags
• Bookshelf — your physical books as spines on a wooden shelf, in your accent colour
• eReader — eBooks as tiny Kindle-style devices
• Audio — audiobooks as cassette tapes with a working play/pause timer

Add a book in seconds by scanning its barcode.

──── Built for audiobook listeners ────

Tap play on the cassette tape to start a session timer. Set your playback speed (up to 2×) and logged minutes are multiplied, so your progress reflects content consumed, not wall-clock time. Your session survives backgrounding and app restarts — or log one manually in two taps.

──── A journal worth keeping ────

A calendar where every day you read is filled with the covers of the books you read. Finish days light up in your accent colour with a star rating below the cover. Log pages, audio minutes, and notes per day. Build streaks. Look back at any month in a calm, eye-pleasing view.

──── Goals & challenges ────

• Yearly and monthly goals — books, pages or hours, each with its own progress tracker
• Reading challenges: A–Z, Read Harder, seasonal readathons, or build your own — slot books in as you read them

──── Share your reading ────

Turn your reading life into something beautiful to share. Customisable cards for finishes, reviews, monthly recaps, goals and challenges — plus a stunning Year in Review. "Share my Shelf" turns your whole library into a cover mosaic, a recommendations card, or a spine rainbow. Choose your colours, pick square or story, and post anywhere.

──── More ways to track ────

• Series — see "Book 3 of 7" and what to read next
• Characters — keep a cast list for your favourite books
• A smart TBR with an "Up Next" queue, plus Sealed Reads to gift-wrap a book for future-you

──── Stats with depth ────

• Reading heatmap by year; monthly bars by books or pages
• Top genres, authors and tags — compared side-by-side across years
• Audiobook insights: hours per month, top listens, listening heatmap, day-of-week patterns
• DNF analysis: which lengths and genres aren't working for you

──── Know where every book lives ────

Tag each book with its source — Kindle, Kobo, Audible, library loan, a friend's name. Filter your library by source, format, genre, rating or tag to find anything at a glance.

──── Imports & exports ────

Already on Goodreads, StoryGraph or Fable? Import your export and every read, currently-reading and to-read entry routes to the right place, with formats auto-detected. Prefer a spreadsheet? Import from Excel too. Re-export to CSV, Excel, or a full JSON backup whenever you want.

──── Auto-detect when you finish ────

Type the last page in the journal, or let your audiobook timer reach full duration — epilogue spots it, confirms with you, sets the finish date, and offers to capture a review while it's fresh.

──── Notes, reviews, quotes ────

Each book has space for short notes, a structured review (loved / disliked / would recommend / favourite quote / free-form), and a growing list of quoted passages.

──── Privacy-first ────

We don't run any servers, and we never collect or transmit your data to ourselves. If you turn on sync, your library uploads to a private folder in your own Google Drive that we cannot read. Everything else lives on your device.

──── Customise it ────

Unlimited colour options and over 40 icon sets for ratings. Yearly and monthly goals. Replay any tutorial anytime.

──── One-time purchase ────

Buy it once. Yours forever. No subscription, no ads, no tracking, no data harvesting. Updates included.

A calmer, prettier place to track what you read.

v1.0.7

The time and effort and attention to detail that's been put into this app to give the reading community what they've been asking for is astounding. Such a great app and free for the most part? Are you kidding me? This is so refreshing, thanks to the developer, we see you and your hard work. Thank you for creating this for your wife (tell your wife I say thank you for reading).

Developer Response

Thank you! I built epilogue for my wife never imagining anyone else would care, so "we see you" means the world. I'll pass your message straight to her — she'll be so chuffed someone thanked her for reading 😊 Comments like this are exactly why I keep building. Thank you 💚

I think this app has great potential. but to try out the free version at 50 books (tbr, read, or shelved) is not a good dive into the app for me. I personally read 200 plus book just last year; so that is not an accurate representation for me. I hope that those that venture into buying get a better understand of their reading habits, because it looks very well done and has exceptional features. I think a 10 day trial of the app would be beneficial for some people like myself who are on the fence

Developer Response

Thank you for the review and highlighting the features. I chose a catalog-limit freemium structure over a time-limited trial so that readers can take as long as they need to explore the app without a ticking clock. I know this doesn't perfectly align for all, the other apps mentioned all charge monthly subscriptions. Not a 1 time fee like epilogue.

v1.0.7

The navigation is seamless and intuitive, can't fault it for my purpose. I needed an app that would allow me to structure and organise the day and precise reading time, this does just that.

Developer Response

Honestly, this is the dream feedback! Structuring the day around precise reading time is exactly what I built Epilogue for, so I'm thrilled it fits how you read. Glad the navigation feels intuitive too. Plenty more on the way — really appreciate you taking the time to write this.

Developer Response

Thank you so much! A couple of weeks in is exactly when it starts to feel like yours — your shelves, your stats, your little reading habits building up. So happy it's stuck and that you're enjoying it. Here's to many more books 💚
