Will it Rain? asks 4 different weather forecast models the same question about your city — and shows you what most of them agree on.
Instead of trusting a single forecast source, this app queries four independent weather models, each built by a different meteorological organization using different methodologies:
• GFS (Global Forecast System) — by NOAA, United States
• ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) — European Union
• ICON — by DWD, Germany's national weather service
• wttr.in — an independent weather service
Each model analyzes atmospheric data differently. When 3 out of 4 agree it will rain, you can feel pretty confident about grabbing that umbrella.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Search for any city in the world
2. The app fetches forecasts from all 4 sources simultaneously
3. For each period of the day (Morning, Afternoon, Night), it shows what percentage of models agree on each weather condition
4. A clear majority (75%+) is highlighted prominently, so you can see the consensus at a glance
FEATURES
• 3-day forecast — Today, Tomorrow, and Day After
• Consensus view — see the percentage agreement between models for rain, clear skies, snow, clouds, and more
• Temperature — averaged min/max from all sources, in Celsius or Fahrenheit
• Expected rainfall — daily precipitation in millimeters, averaged across models
• Bookmarks — save your favorite cities for quick access
• Smart search — handles cities with the same name (e.g., Toledo, Ohio vs Toledo, Spain) by letting you pick the right one
• Accent-friendly — search "Sao Paulo" and find "São Paulo" without needing special characters
• Lightweight — no account needed, no registration, no GPS required
• Works offline for bookmarks — your saved cities are stored locally
• 15 languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Hindi, Arabic, Indonesian, and Turkish
WHY MULTIPLE SOURCES?
No single weather model is always right. Different models excel in different regions and weather patterns. By showing the consensus, Will it Rain? gives you a more reliable picture than any single app could.
Think of it like asking 4 different meteorologists: if most of them agree, you can be more confident in the forecast.
THE ANSWER AT A GLANCE
