I purchased this app for 12 but it is super buggy. My 4-year-old was playing one of the games with sounding out the letters but it kept telling him his answers were incorrect even though they weren't

Rating this as 2 stars for moving to a subscription model. Should have created a new app instead of updating the current app.
Developer Response
Hi Roel, we'll now give free access to the new version to all users who paid for the existing app, when it's released. We can't afford to keep two versions of the same game on the store - any profits are covenanted back to the Usborne Foundation, which exists to help children learn. We hope your child will continue teaching their monster to read.

DO NOT BUY The product is moving to a subscription model and you will lose your money. Just got an email about this. It's an absolutely wonderful program, and I've bought it multiple times on multiple devices but in 45 days all of that money goes in the garbage.
Developer Response
Hi Patrick, we've since decided to give FREE of charge access to the new version to all users who have paid for the existing app version, when it's released. Any profits generated are covenanted back to The Usborne Foundation, a charity that exists to help children learn. We hope this is reassuring and your child keeps learning to read with us.

After paying for the game, this developer force switches paid users into a subscription model. They should have released their subscription game as a distinct, separate product instead of screwing paid customers. They have excuses for their bad behavior, justifying it with "but now it's free for schools!" (but they're hoping kids will play at school and bug their parents to download the game and until they pay for the outlandish subscription at home). Don't download, don't buy, don't pay.
