EDIT: The app keeps sending notifications for stuff I haven't subscribed to. Trash. As of late, The Athletic has come to rely on clickbait/engagement. The app increasingly shows notifications for sports the user is not following, even after the user has curated their interests. This review will be revised if this practice changes, but I don't see that happening. Three stars because it's still a decent app on which to follow live events. But it's not worth paying a subscription for only that.
