Since I updated it, it won't switch from gallons to metric.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I did find the bug where there was conflict between guest account and a registered that prevented saving metric state. Update is available for download now. You can use the support page in app to contact me quicker in the future

you should need a credit card for a free app. So I uninstalled it.

You don't need a credit card. You can use all basic feature for free. You can use all the calculators, equipment list for 1 pool, for free. If you want to track more than one pool and use other advanced business features it's 1.99/mo.
