Description

This app is a CLIENT for the Blue Iris Windows PC software. In order to make use of this app, you must have Blue Iris version 5.x installed and running on a Windows PC. Instructions for connecting this app to the PC software are found in the Networking topic of its Help file.

This app provides a single point of contact to your home camera network. There is no need to insecurely open individual cameras to the Internet. This app connects using a secure and session-based protocol--no passwords are transmitted in plain text.

Key features include:

- Manage multiple Blue Iris installations
- Control the traffic signal icon, schedule and profile selection
- Receive Android push alerts when a Blue Iris camera is triggered or there is a critical status message
- Fast H.264 streaming
- Control PTZ, IR and more for any camera that’s also controllable at the Blue Iris PC
- Listen to and talk to any camera that’s also supported at the Blue Iris PC
- Navigate cameras by tapping and swiping
- Review recordings as stored on the Blue Iris PC, up to 64x speed
- Selectively delete recordings from the Blue Iris PC
- Remote control DIO output signals on compatible devices

The most basic features like watching a camera now and going backwards or forwards in time on it... or even having a back button while reviewing recent activity... aren't available. I have to quit and reopen it 5-10 times a use because there's no other way to go back to the recent activity list from viewing an event. Pathetic. It's pretty hard to be happy with an app this difficult. Pay for some UX design, would you?

App Needs Update for Blue Iris 6, after I upgraded, both the Android and iOS app are mostly non-functional, the Android app hardly ever fully loads and when it does, it's very slow to respond and the recent videos are from over a week ago, on the iOS side. it launches and logs on faster, but the previous footage is still from a week ago.

Cannot get it to work with Blue Iris 6. It was a great app for viewing my home security cams. Worked with any cam I have tried. Very reliable until I installed BI 6. Needs to be updated to talk to the BI 6 app.
