PetTravelDocs: Trip & Rules

PetTravelDocs is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government entity (including GOV.UK/DEFRA, the U.S. CDC or the European Commission), and it does not represent a government entity. It is a planning organizer and date calculator — not a vet and not an airline — and it does not issue, validate or submit any document. The official sources for every rule it shows are listed at the end.

Taking a dog, cat or ferret across a border is a deadline problem. The microchip has to come before the rabies shot, the rabies shot needs its waiting period before the first trip, the animal health certificate is only valid if issued inside a short window before you travel, and dogs entering some countries need tapeworm treatment inside an hour window. Miscount one day and you are turned away at check-in.
