It just works, and works well. Extremely low battery usage. It can take a little navigation to find your barcode to show new contacts. The app is great when other people have the requirements for video chat - e.g. dino-im under Linux ✨

Works

After years of using it, I finally decided to move away because it always randomizes file names when sending files, and the author simply doesn’t care. Other clients have already fixed this well-known problem.

Developer Response

Database and file encryption on application level is just a placebo and doesn't really work as this research paper about ChatSecure shows: https://arxiv.org/abs/1610.06721 Please encrypt your phone and use a password to lock it.
