not accurate. can't turn off
Developer Response
Hi, Kevin Helmen! Users have to calibrate themselves because each type of phone uses a different microphone. In this case, we think you should use it in tandem with an iPhone device to calibrate the sound on your Android device. We have calibrated the Decibel X application on iPhone based on the results on professional audio measuring devices.

there's so much bloatware attached to the app I couldn't even get to the decibel meter.
Developer Response
Hi, Dan Harding! Thank you for your feedback. Have you tried the latest update? If it still doesn't work, could you contact us at contact@skypaw.com so we can work together to figure it out? With our user-obsessed mentality, we shall continue to leverage and level up our standard features and advance ones based on users' needs.

useful app but drained my battery in the background. what the heck was it doing?? I disabled running in background so hopefully that'll fix it but now I'm not sure if I can trust it.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback. For your specific case, you might set the option "keep running when app closed" to OFF so the app consumed less energy. If you do not need to keep the app measuring all the time you may consider setting that option to OFF to have the usual battery efficiency.

I've used this AP for several years, it was always accurate and suited my needs. A few weeks ago it started giving readings that were very high, I'm a dedicated audio room. I thought there was an issue with my equipment, but back checking with a dedicated handheld meter confirmed dbx reading around 20db high. I made sure there was no scaling or anything pulled in the sensitivity settings, even tried reinstalling. Guess that's it for this one. I'm back to my handheld.

Hi, Jamison Anderson. In this case, we think you should use it in tandem with an iPhone device to be able to calibrate the sound on your Android device. We have calibrated the Decibel X application on iPhone based on the results on professional audio measuring devices. (You can "Calibration" in the tab "Setting" on the app).
