Best practice tool ever!

Convenient but poor voice-leading

Immensely useful app for changes, BUT… useful for some teaching/practice situations but stay clear of swing as voice-leading is poor. Surely some simple edits to the code could require beat 4 to be 4th below/5th above, or chromatic approach? I have to export MIDI and edit in order to use for practice or teaching. Great for changes but can no longer recommend to students for as play-along. Please fix this! Otherwise brilliant!

Very usefull app for every jazz student. I first got the android version to practice away from home, and then used it on Windows pc through BlueStacks and it works well ! Even if there are still some possible improvements, the app fullfill my needs as it is :-) I hope the product will continue to grow, with more styles and add-on !

This is a great app. It would be nice to have a SYNC option to a (own / free) cloud option. I use a Synology NAS with Syno Drive to sync but have to backup and import manually in iReal Pro. Would therefore be great to have "Erase contents AND setting" split in Erase contents and separate Erase settings. This option makes it 5 ☆.

Every jazz player needs this, endless lead sheets and backing tracks! I like that it's a one time purchase as well! Only problem I have is I bought a subscription for my Mac and that should work on multiple computers which the app said but it doesn't work on my windows idk if you can fix this or if this is just not part of the plan!

Excellent software for playing along or composing your own music. We use it to provide bass and drum backing for our guitar and piano duets, and it has delivered many hours of enjoyment at a very reasonable cost. While there is a bit of a learning curve for more complex arrangements, getting started with simple compositions is straightforward. One feature that would improve it further would be the ability to assign different chord voicings within the same song, depending on the musical context.

Must have for any gigging pro jazz musicians

This is now an industry standard as far as I can tell. I use it on every gig I do, especially if I play with musicians I haven’t played with before, as they can sight read my charts which I’ve adapted to suit the changes I like and also the intros and outros I’ve written for all my songs.. Couldn’t work without it. I use to hand write all my charts as they’re not in the standard keys. Thanks you iReal pro, I know it’s not a big outfit making this app but it’s so useful..

Amazing tool!

It has helped me a lot during my improvisation journey. I used to waste time going to YouTube to find something useful for my studies and now I don't get distracted anymore, I just open iRealPro and start my training. Only suggestion: it would be nice to have a colored pen to write something down or color bars.
