CCS Manufacturing is the production-line tagging app used by CCS Fire and its authorised manufacturing partners to register each
fire-safety component as it comes off the line.
WHAT THE APP DOES
• Sign in with the CCS account issued to your site
• Scan the item's barcode using the rear camera
• Read the item's NFC tag by holding the device against it
• Tap Assign to register the barcode + tag pair against your company on the CCS server
This is the only function of the app — there are no other screens, ads, or in-app purchases.
WHO IT IS FOR
CCS Manufacturing is a closed business tool for production-line operators at CCS Fire and its contracted manufacturers. User
accounts are issued directly by CCS. The app is not intended for the general public and there is no self-service sign-up.
REQUIREMENTS
• An Android device with NFC and a rear camera
• Internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi)
• A CCS Manufacturing account, provided by CCS
PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE USED
• Camera — to scan the barcode printed on each manufactured item
• NFC — to read the unique identifier from the NFC tag fitted to each item
• Internet and network state — to send each completed tagging record to the CCS server and to verify the device is online before
submitting
The app does not collect location data, contacts, or any personal information beyond the company-issued login used to
authenticate to the CCS server.
