DO NOT GET, first of all the ads that make your skin crawl, are nothing like the actual game I hate when the game is 100% different from what they put on the ads and that is exactly what this game does Terrible, gets very boring and has terrible graphics

Glitches that wipe out progress

I’ve played Evony for years, but the bugs and glitches are insufferable now!! 3 times I have spent millions of gems, gold and refining chips. Locked the padlocks on the gear only to find the padlocks off later and the refines messed up again! I’d taken this up with Evony who always make excuses, draw the complaint out by telling you they’re looking into it. Only to then quietly close the complain ticket and mark it as solved. When it happened again a few days ago, I was lucky enough to snap pics showing the gear refined for mounted defense and the padlocks on. Just over an hour later, the padlocks were off by magic and the refines messed up again. This is no accident! They’re doing this purposely to make players spend more and more money and it’s a disgusting and downright deceptive act. Despite showing them the screenshots which proved it. Evony customer support showed what they’re best at, deflecting and doing anything they can rather than fix the issue. Don’t be fooled by their claims of wanting to fix anything. Evony non existent customer support will do anything but fix the issue because they want you to spend more and more. I was stupid enough to spend about £7,000 on this game, but they will never get another penny from me after their deceitful behaviour. For heaven’s sake! Don’t play this game and be pulled into it. Find another game where support actually gives a damn about their players.

A Money Sink with Hidden Traps and Poor Support

Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I have been a dedicated player of Evony for a long time, but my recent experience with the Civilization Gear system has been the final straw. This game is designed to be a marathon of resource gathering and spending, but it has now crossed the line into being intentionally deceptive. The Civilization Gear Trap I spent a massive amount of time and actual money collecting fragments for a specific piece of Civ Gear. After finally gathering enough, I composed them, expecting to add a second piece to my arsenal—only to find out that you are restricted to owning only one of each piece. The most frustrating part? The game does not warn you about this limit. Instead of blocking the composition or giving a warning pop-up, the game simply consumes your hard-earned fragments (which can cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to accumulate quickly) and replaces them with a "compensation chest." This chest contained basic items like refining stones—nowhere near the value of the fragments used. It feels like a total rip-off. Support is Non-Existent When I reached out to customer support to explain that the game failed to disclose this one-piece limit, I was met with a "too bad" attitude. They essentially confirmed that the fragments were gone and that the useless chest was all I would get. There is zero accountability for the lack of in-game clarity or the predatory nature of the fragment composition system. Dwindling Value and Constant Changes Beyond the gear issues, the developers have a habit of altering events mid-stream. Rewards are constantly being nerfed, meaning you get significantly less value for your money today than you did a few months ago. It is a constant cycle of moving the goalposts to force more spending. Final Verdict: Evony is a game that values your wallet far more than its players. Between the hidden mechanics that lead to wasted high-value items and a support team that brushes off legitimate grievances, I cannot recommend this to anyone. If you’re looking for a fair strategy game where your time and money are respected, look elsewhere.
