Get away from bloated features, manipulative design, unnecessary permissions, dark patterns, fake urgency, inflated subscriptions, and data collection disguised as "experience improvement". VL goes in the opposite direction.

You do not have to take VL’s word for it. Check the privacy listing of any well-known Android launcher on Google Play: what data it declares it collects, what permissions it requests, what SDKs it integrates, and what business model it uses.
Free does not always mean free. Many apps monetize through ads, subscriptions, analytics, profiling, external SDKs, or data collection disguised as product improvement. Honest exceptions exist, of course. But in a launcher, privacy matters more than usual.
