2 Tage nach Aktivieren der ÖPNV-Tickets bekam ich eine SMS mit einer Zahlungsaufforderung, die auf eine gefälschte (!) Webseite führte. Offenbar werden Handynummern von irgendwelchen Leuten abgegriffen. Wenn man recherchiert, erfährt man, dass es mehr Betroffene gibt. RomaPass ist vielleicht gut gemeint, aber katastrophal umgesetzt. Schlechter geht es wirklich nicht.

Dear Aber, we apologise for the delay. During that period, many Italian transport operators were targeted by phishing. Roma Pass and ATAC promptly published a warning on their apps and websites, advising users not to respond to messages requesting payment for tickets. The App does not access phone numbers, and none were taken from our systems.

Die App ist eine technische Katastrophe. Nur Probleme, Serverprobleme und miese Programmierung mit Bugs ohne Ende. Es können regelmäßig die Tickets nicht geladen werden, die Telefonnummer in der App zur Hilfe existiert gar nicht und man kann nicht mal seinen Account löschen. Es kommt nur eine Fehlerseite.... schlimm ist das. Die ganzen italienischen Apps sind wie von einem Kleinkind programmiert... Außerdem lohnt sich der Roma Pass auch nicht. Es ist günstiger alles separat zu kaufen.

Dear Snape, we apologise for the delay. During that period, no technical issues affected the Roma Pass system. Whether the pass is worth buying depends on what you wish to visit and how much you’ll use it. The FAQ section on the Roma Pass website provides all the information needed to decide before purchasing.

It's completely disfunktional. The translation tool ("cambia lingua") doesn't work at all. You can select your language but it changes nothing. When in Rome it is actually completely useless. And it should be possible to print the ticket but even that is not possible. The ticket reservation for museums and other attractions - all in italian. And if there is any restriction for some smart phones or versions than you should make it very clear.
