[App requirements]
- Supports only devices running iPadOS [Requires iPadOS 16.0 or later].
- Exclusively available only on iPads equipped with an M-series chip.
- To know whether your iPad is supported, visit https://developer.apple.com/support/required-device-capabilities and select "driverkit" under "Choose a capability"
- The app requires Samsung Magician Driver to be enabled. Follow the in-app guide or manually go to the app's settings page to turn it on.

[Troubleshooting]
In case the Samsung Magician Driver does not appear in the app's settings, it is recommended to update your version of iPadOS and follow the steps again.

I've setup password encryption on the Samsung T7 SSD. I was able to encrypt the disk, but now I cannot decrypt the disk with the same password anymore. The app gets stuck in the process and says the SSD is not connected even though the led on the SSD is glowing. I have the issue on my Pixel 7 Pro. On a pixel 10 these issues don't occur. Please fix the issue on the Pixel 7 series

Samsung Magician wurde auf der Verpackung meiner Samsung EVO SDXC beworben, funktioniert dann aber gar nicht mit Speicherkarten.

Mehr Ärgernis als Mehrwehrt Eine SSD T7 an einem S24 Ultra arbeitet einwandfrei. Mit der App kann ich die SSD zwar verwalten - Name der SSD verändern, wichtige SMART Daten auslesen, oder PW Schutz einrichten - dafür wird permanent der Hinweis angezeigt, dass das Laufwerk auf unsichere Weise entfernt wurde und das Smartphone muss neu gestartet werden solle. Vereinzelt behauptet das System, dass eine Formatierung notwenig sei, um die SSD überhaupt nutzen zu können. Ohne App passiert das nicht.

Works as intended

The app works as described. 1 star less because the link to the app settings in the system settings does not lead to the app settings as described, just to the apps overview in the system settings, this may confuse inexperienced user and lead to the conclusion that the driver slider does not exist. Tipp: in the system settings search for the Samsung magician app and you fill find the driver slider.

Schwache Leistung!

Beim Start der App wird man aufgefordert in den Einstellungen den Samsung Treiber zuzulassen. Dumm nur, dass diese Einstellung (zumindest unter iOS 18 fehlt. Somit lässt sich die App (und Festplatte) nicht nutzen.

Es gibt bei iPadOS 18 keine Einstellung für „Treiber erlauben“. Die App startet somit nicht, nur bis zu dem Bildschirm, dass die Settings geöffnet werden sollen.
