The Intervalometer for Canon app allows you to shoot long-exposure time-lapse recordings by connecting to your camera via Bluetooth and triggering it at set intervals.

Longer Battery Time:
Bluetooth (BLE = Bluetooth Low Energy) requires up to 90% less energy than Wifi, hence your battery will last longer.

BULB mode
Set the exposure time on your camera or switch to BULB mode and control the exposure time directly from the app without any time limit.

Unlimited Number of Photos and Automatic Stop
Choose between infinite triggering or an automatic stop after a set number of photos.

Video Mode
The intervalometer also works in video mode and can be used to restart recordings. This might be useful for cameras that have a 30 minute video recording limit.

Alarm on Interruption and Automatic Reconnect
Sounds an alarm when the camera disconnects from the phone while shooting is in progress and automatically attempts to reconnect the app to the camera in order to continue shooting.

Continue in Background
Triggering continues even when the app is minimised in the background.

v2.3.2

for 15 euro it's a bit to steep of a price for just the intervalometer function and I'm not going to lie the app works. I got some very good night shots and good star trails with consistent timing but without a live preview it gets a bit counterintuitive going back and forth to the canon app checking if the scene is set up correctly. sure I fell asleep and the app did its thing flawlessly but..ADD A LIVE PREVIEW. it will ease of our anxiety

Developer Response

Hi, thanks a lot for your feedback and I'm glad the app works for you. With regards to live preview functionality, this is not possible via Bluetooth as it requires a connection via Wifi.

v2.3.2

I've never paid for a mobile app or written a review before, but so far this has been well worth the money. After my old physical intervalometer started to have reliability problems I decided to try the app for my Canon R8 and my astrophotography life has become much simpler as a result. One thing I would improve though is for the app to remember the most recently used settings. Adding a lock screen progress widget would also be great!

v2.3.1

Works fine. Except for pairing you need to choose remote controller, not a phone. Otherwise it's not possible to connect. Afterwards it works as designed :)

Developer Response

Hello, the bluetooth connection has not been changed and should still work the same way as when you last used it. Feel free to reach out to help@intervalometer.app so I can help you get it set up correctly.

v2.3.1

it won't work with canon eos Ra

Developer Response

Hello, the EOS Ra is not on the list of supported cameras, because it doesn't have the capability to be triggered via bluetooth from a smartphone. That limitation is not the apps fault, but a lack of functionality on the cameras side.
