What's New
• Fixed a layout glitch for link buttons in Settings. • Fixed a bug where generated URL scheme tokens had insufficient entropy. • Fixed a rare crash. THINGS 3.22 Things is ready for macOS 26 Tahoe, with a new app icon, an entirely refreshed interface, control buttons, support for new widget styles, and more. FRESH LOOK & FEEL • Things’ interface has been completely refreshed in every corner. You’ll notice a touch of glass in the sidebar that lets a hint of color shine through; increased rounding of corners for windows, dialogs, and to-dos. • Things’ icon has been refined and realigned to sit beautifully within macOS 26. It’s familiar at a glance – and unmistakably Things. • Icon & widget styles: Things’ app icon and widgets now support styles on Mac. To change your style, go to System Settings > Appearance and choose from Dark, Tinted, or Clear. QUICK CONTROLS Things’ handy control buttons are now available on Mac. Open Control Center from the menu bar and click Edit Controls. Things offers controls for New To-Do and List (you choose a list). You can place them in Control Center, or directly in your menu bar for one-click access. AND MORE • Spotlight can now create to-dos. After you’ve invoked Spotlight (⌘ Space), type “Create To-Do”, press Return, then enter your title. Your new to-do is created in the Inbox – even if Things isn’t running. • Things’ Quick Entry feature now supports adding links from the new Comet browser. We hope you enjoy using Things on macOS 26 Tahoe!

Appreciate the care and thought in design
I’ve been using Things since it started years ago, back when the iPhone first came out, and it has been an absolute joy to use. Something that has always bothered me is clutter, whether it is in real life or in my digital life. I’ve noticed that many reminder and to-do apps focus on giving users a lot of features, but they do not put the same thought into creating a calm, stress-free design that is still extremely functional. That is where Cultured Code shines with Things 3. It gives you the power to manage your to-do list without the clutter, digital noise, messy menus, or endless options that overcomplicate the experience. Everything feels clean and intentional. Using Things 3 is almost like looking up at the sky and watching the clouds go by. It is peaceful, simple, and focused. It truly is one of my favorite apps. One of the features I enjoy most is using the quick-entry shortcut on my Mac. While I’m typing or working, if something pops into my head, I can hit a keyboard shortcut, quickly type out the reminder, add a date if needed, and move on. It is instantly out of sight and out of mind, till I'm ready to tackle it, which is exactly what a great reminder app should do. That kind of clean, functional design means more to me than an app packed with features that turn a stress-free experience into something else I have to think about. Does Things 3 have everything? No, it doesn’t. But that is okay because it is clearly designed to be a thoughtful, focused, and stress-free experience. Cultured Code has put so much effort into the colors, layout, typography, and the features that actually make sense. I’m currently building an app myself, and I am taking my time with it. I find myself looking at the design language Cultured Code has showcased over the years because I want my app to give users that same feeling of effortless control that Things 3 provides. I use Things 3 every day across my MacBook Pro, Mac Studio, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Vision Pro. It has become part of how I stay organized without feeling overwhelmed. I know this was a lot, but I truly admire Cultured Code’s commitment to design. I honestly cannot find the right words to express how much I appreciate the care and thought they have put into Things.

Best App - Period!
I’d be using Windows right now if it wasn’t for this app. Would choose this app over all others

Awesome
I purchased versions for all my devices. I am still learning how to use this efficiently. Developing a habit to use it is probably the biggest challenge. A couple of features I would love to see. It would be nice if when you send an email that it could sort that email to a project based on a tag that could be added to the subject line along with a due date. Auto sorting items into projects via tags would also be helpful. Perhaps it already does this, I just dont know. Thanks for a great app!

Many years…
Honestly, I love Things. I use it every day and have for many, many years — ever since The Hit List was abandoned. But there is a very annoying bug, a known bug, that still isn’t fixed. In fact, a few years ago when I contacted support, they said: “Thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry about this – it's a known bug, and our developers have prioritized the fix alongside their other work, but I can't give you an ETA for a solution just yet, my apologies.” I use multiple monitors and Things does not remember its position when it’s started, like ALL my other apps do. I anxiously await this being fixed so I can bump the review up to 5 stars…

A companion tool for life
I’ve been using Things for years. I don’t feel pressured to use it every single day, but there are times where I’ve used it daily, and times where it’s been a tool I turn to only when I need it. That’s what I like about it…it’s consistently good over YEARS, and is there to use however works for me! I’m in a phase right now where I use it multiple times a day, and the organization and support it gives to my projects and life is phenomenal. I sincerely appreciate the effort and consistent work the development team puts into Things, and I look forward to using it for years to come.
