Description

The Samsung Family Hub app now works only on Family Hub refrigerators with TIZEN Software Version 4.0 and earlier.

For Samsung Family Hub refrigerators that operate on TIZEN 6.0 Software version and later, the Family Hub app will no longer be supported. Please download and use the SmartThings app instead.
- Features like uploading pictures and videos can be accessed via the Family Hub device card
- Food-related features like View Inside, Recipe Recommendation, Meal Planner, Shopping List and Food List can be accessed via the SmartThings Cooking Service

The Software version can be found on your Family Hub in Settings > About Family Hub> Software version > TIZEN 6.0.

The following permissions are required for the app to work. For optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed.

[Required Access Permission]
- Contacts: Registered Samsung Account information will be used to provide services that require account linking

[Optional Access Permission]
- Microphone: Needed to record voice for Memo and Whiteboard
- Storage: Required to provide cloud-connected features for sharing photos and videos

If you want to connect your family hub fridge to app now this app doesn’t work they have moved it to SmartThings which is even better than this app

From a 5 ⭐️ to a zero!

Totally loved this fridge for this reason only and now they went and took all of the great features away! Now this is just a regular normal fridge that is overpriced! Incredibly disappointing. Normally product gets better within years but not worst🙄 I can’t upload any pictures any longer, I can’t even ask Bixby to set a timer for me any longer, it has none of the features I originally had.

Why would you discontinue this app for new refrigerators

I don't write many reviews, but I am beyond disappointed that this app no longer works on my new fridge. We have been directed to use SmartThings instead which no longer supports the family calendar, the memo pad, whiteboard, family board, and the food list...many features that enticed us to purchase a very expensive fridge. Fridge is no longer worth the extra investment. Think twice before you buy!

One hit wonder

Family Board can’t be edited at initial exploration. I have tried everything. For the cost of fridge and the collection of complaints here I’m shocked not to see troubleshooting or recall information. A rush to compete with Apple but a complete fail. Bixby is Alexa’s needy wanna-be cousin.
