Impressed with Garmin Dove technology

I recently purchased a Garmin Fenix 8 with dive capability and downloaded Garmin Dove app. I used both for a recent recreational so I g trip and am very impressed. They are fantastic tools for dive computer and logging dives. They were easy and intuitive to use. Even on my smaller 43 mm watch I could see all the data fine during the dive. I highly recommend them to recreational divers, especially those who do other activities like skiing, biking and hiking like I do.

bonjour depuis dernière mise a jour Android sur pixel7a le chargement rate et aucunes données ne s' affichent (déjà procédé a deux RAZ de l application pour que cela refonctionne pour un temps).

Nice layout with a great view of your dive, but still has sync issues

This is a solid and probably necessary addition if you own any of the dive series of Garmin devices. The mapping feature is fabulous! My rating would be 5 stars based on the beauty of the dive logging interface. However, as an owner of a MkIIi device, I still experience sync issues on multi dive days. On a 4 dive day, it is rare that my watch will sync more than 2 dives to my phone and the app. This can hold true where there are any multi dive days whatever the count, it simply won’t synchronize all the dives. I have tried the PC connect software and always ensure that watch, iPhone and App software are up to date. Considering the cost of these devices we should expect more consistency from the sync software. Thankfully the dive log remains intact on the watch and there is a way to enter dives manually into the Garmin Dive app. Check on-line forums before you buy as I am certainly not alone with this issue!

Can’t save a log

i downloaded this app, hoping that I can use it for logging my Dives. I have several Garmin devices, although not a dive watch, but still am an avid Garmin fan. I went to enter a Dive log, and got a notification that there is missing required information. I tried for 20 minutes to figure out what was missing and did not find anything. I even entered in all sorts of information in what should be optional fields. Seems like a great app, if you would just turn off the validation feature for logging information into a Dive then I would not be abandoning it. Alternatively tell us what field is missing information so we can find it and address it

Awesome

A very capable computer that offers full functions out of the box. Easy to switch from OC to CC. I love the gps feature.

Suggested improvements

I have a Descent mark one and really appreciate the Bluetooth connectivity and the haptic signals as I can’t always hear audible signals underwater. It would be really helpful if more of the settings on the Mk 1could be set using the app on the phone it would be much quicker and easier. I also noticed that the no-deco alarm goes off too early yo be truly useful; often with 20 minutes or so left.
