Fix the rigged algorithm

The game is mostly fun however more often than not, the opponents draw unrealistic or extremely unlikely hands, it is clearly not random like in the real world and is obviously controlled off a programmed algorithm. For example, I’ll draw a King/Ace suited and an opponent draws a 6/9 off suit and leads the bet by $1400 and continues to raise through the flop. (Extremely unlikely). By the time the river drops they’ve landed a straight. This is one example of hundreds. I’m on the verge of deleting this game.

Good game

This version of poker is far more realistic than other games. So far I have been pleasantly surprised after trying other online poker games.

Solid Free THP Game!

A solid free addition of Texas Hold’em Poker (THP) provided by Apple! It should quench the thirst of most THP enthusiasts looking for something that can be played offline. It sports a clean interface, suave music, and a whole catalogue of unique AI players (whom each have some fun tells!). It has a simple single player campaign, plus it has no ads or micro-transactions in sight! It is considered an App Store classic by older folks. But unfortunately given its age and the lack of any meaningful updates over the years I can only give this 4-Stars. This is because there are clear opportunities to up the level of gameplay, but sadly Apple has forgotten this app’s existence. Which is sad because Apple did put some great effort into this game when it released over a decade ago. Some improvement ideas needed to bring this game to more modern standards are: 1. Ability to natively play your own music on your device from within the game. Perhaps a plug-in with Apple’s Apple Music app. The original game music can become stale when listened to for several hours straight on loop. 2. Option to add a Picture-in-Picture of your AI opponents during Overhead Table View play (Landscape). This is so you can observe their actions here and see if they’re bluffing or not (rather than relying solely on Portrait POV Table View). 3. Portrait POV Table View could use a small map on its interface that outlines the table position (who has the small blind, big blind and dealer button), who has betted, plus what amount. 4. MULTIPLAYER UPGRADE! Add the ability to play against other online players by being able to host and join servers at will. Soon as these things get added it’s an easy switch to 5-Star! :)
