It could be so much better

Garmin can you please do something. It was so good to just be able to plug your device in and download trackfiles and waypoints. This is almost impossible now if you have a Mac. I use a file transfer system now which kind of works, but sometime even opening Basecamp is a mission.

the most useless thing around

On Mac this is a discrace. Constant problems. Garmin are annoying, no hang on, infuriating. If you own a Garmin zumo XT then forget it. Basecamp will show the maps but not any of the roads or tracks? The whole thing is a headache. Garmin explorer is no better as you can only use topoactive which does not have much detail for forests and tracks here in Australia

Only useful for legacy devices

As soon as I plug my Fenix 6 in it attempts to load all maps from the watch at the same time, which never finishes. It just breaks at the end. During this time the app is unusable.

Clunky but has unrealised potential

This could be a useful addition to the toolkit for managing tracks, points etc. Sadly it is so inelegant and clunky that I avoid it whenever possible, which is now pretty much all the time. The one task where it could potentially be useful is when graphically reordering a multi-segment track (to put all the segments in sequential order and pointing in the same direction). However, for all but the simplest cases, it is easier to just rebuild one's own track ab initio. Its sole remaining plus is that it can be used off-line. Aside from that it feels like a relic of the past.

This app is so far behind compaired to Homeport! Garmin is ment to be ahead of the pack, but clearly shows where it is at with this useless app Thanks
