Easy to learn. And year ago, it use to be well balanced then 3yrs ago mega knight was introduced and never balanced. took 3 yr break came back and now the card is even more broken. also, since the hiatus and return the game at higher levels is definitely pay to win. pay to upgrade mega knight to 15 and steam roll the competition. lastly rhe hero units are a fun idea but clearly the animation style is different and completely throws off the style.

If you dont pay you stay put, don't climb the ladder once you get to a specific trophy number. I've paid some cash and can see the gain. oficially turned off by this game. Hey, good on you for profiting. But also, why does anyone need to see any negativity after losing a kids game. Curious to know how many phones people have broken, but man the frustration some people must experience has to be insane. Uninstalling the well oiled machine. Mundane and yes some will disagree and thats ok.

please nerf the 4 star monk it’s genuinely unplayable and wipes out a whole team in 10 seconds. i choose not to use it because of how broken and unfair it is. please either extend the time for each hit or not do aoe. i beg!! other than that im addicted

Fun core gameplay, everything else is bad.
Let me start by saying the actual gameplay is 5 star. Alright, now let me list out my grievances: Keep in mind, I average 1-2 hours per day. The levelling system is painful for sure, but it’s not like they release levels faster than you can get them. My real issue is with heroes and evolutions (premium units). The devs have stopped making evos, which is a shame if you ask me. But on the plus side, at least I can get all the evos now! When evos were around, they released two a season (per month). I got the resources for about half an evo per month. Somehow, heroes are worse. In the time heroes have been around, 7 have been released, and I have got 1. Which was because of a one off campaign. Additionally, the hero you get is random, which means you can get duplicates (You get 60 shards pity if this happens). Currently, I am at 40 shards out of the 200 required to attempt to get a hero. I have many, many other issues with the game, but I don’t have the energy to write a book on the rest of my issues with Clash Royale.

A frustrating experience.
Pros: -Good game nothing else like it. -Regular updates and balance changes. -Cool character design and animation. Cons: -Matchmaking algorithms. (Hard counters, level mismatch & bots every second game) There is no point grinding if progress is controlled via matchmaking. -Blatant monetization tactics. (Just visit the store page…) -100% pay to win if you want to keep up with the meta. -Balancing issues with OP new cards locked behind a paywall each season. -Useless currency which does not help progression ie. crystals -Same experience every season, 10 wins followed by 10 losses regardless of which deck you use. Starting to think “Tilt” is not a thing, feels more like a system designed to keep you at a %50 win/loss ratio which in turn incentivises spending. This game has so much potential hence my passionately long review however if only games could just be games, instead of being turned into tools for corporate profit.
