I love the Guardian, but this is hopeless. Tiny typeface on a mobile, totally inaccessible. I've cancelled my subscription

Excellent content, but unusable. The actual content of the articles iis good journalism. However aping the look of a print version may look good in marketing, but has major issues when you try and use it. I read it on a 10" tablet, but the only way to view the content is to use 2 fingers to expand it. but if the article spans several adjacent pages, you can not change pages without having to reduce the magnification to show the whole pageview, then swipe to the next page, then expand it again.

Dreadful
This app truly dreadful. Go and look at the NewYork Times, or the Australian as examples of reasonably good apps.

Don’t like it
I miss the old app, this one is awful. One of my pleasures is doing the crossword - now I cant do it. And I can’t be bothered trying to read a pdf of the paper. Very disappointing.

Forget the new app: it’s unreadable
The app isn’t at all like reading the print version, it’s like reading microfilm of the print version. Screen Design 101 should teach you that what’s in effect a zoomable photograph of a newspaper page—maybe 4 or 5 stories on it in multiple columns, some of which continue onto other pages—is not a good way to go. No reader wants a version of The Guardian you have to peer at through a box and continually fiddle with as you read in order to keep its legibility and continuity. No reader wants to read microfilm over breakfast. It’s bad enough on my tablet, but if I want it on my phone, I’ll have to buy a new phone: the app needs the latest operating system. So the new app seems at best to have made The Guardian considerably more difficult to read, all but inaccessible to anyone with sight problems, and at worst completely inaccessible. Did your competitors put you up to this? I sent feedback on this, and all I got back was an automated response telling me how much like reading a real newspaper the app is, and giving me a link to a page that will show me that. The link doesn’t work. I'm giving it a couple more days to see if it improves with familiarity. If it doesn’t, I’ll be cancelling my Guardian Editions subscription. Sorry. I really do want to support The Guardian's mission, but this is useless.

Content great, app has bugs
Photos and associated headings on the left of the app disappear when scrolling. They are there one second, scroll and they are gone the next. Scrolling on and they flicker. Been happening for a while. Exclusive to Guardian app (doesn’t happen with other news apps) Latest iPad running latest iOS

Australian Editions Missing
Each time the app opens, the only available editions are the UK editions. Disappointing as this app is why I have a subscription 😞
