  • This application is for Galaxy Buds+ and Galaxy Buds Live. Support for Galaxy Buds (SM-R170) is not available.

Open the charging case.
On your mobile device, tap Settings -> Bluetooth and then connect earbuds and mobile devices.
Launch the Samsung Galaxy Buds app, and the follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

  • The Samsung Galaxy Buds application connects Samsung Galaxy Buds+ and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live to your iPhone.
  • Use the Samsung Galaxy Buds application to set up and manage the following features.
  • Connect to and disconnect from a mobile device
  • Earbuds & Charging Case battery status
  • Ambient Sound (Samsung Galaxy Buds+ only)
  • Active Noise Cancelling (Samsung Galaxy Buds Live only)

  • Compatibility:
  • iPhone 7 or later models with the iOS 10 and higher version
  • The Galaxy Buds application is not compatible with Galaxy Buds (SM-R170)
  • Settings and features provided by the Galaxy Buds application are only available when Galaxy Buds+ or Galaxy Buds Live is connected to your mobile device. Features will not work properly without a proper connection between your earbuds and your mobile device.

Limited Support

Only supports old models of buds. If you have a newer model then it’s basic connection only or throw them out and buy something Apple or third party. This bs between Apple and Samsung is really annoying.

This app is decent, allowing me to control the state of my earbuds like the ANC, ambient noise, and adaptive modes, as well as seeing my battery life for each individual earbud and case, and even has a very clean and simple UI. I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 (which have fantastic sound by the way) that also has additional built-in features like the light bar and other gestures/voice commands. In the phone app you can completely customize everything, but I would like to have more functionality like this on the watch app as I frequently go on walks or other occasions without a phone and want to change how my earbuds act. Other than that, great job on the watch app and I hope to see new updates in the future!

Why would samsung remove the ability to control the buds from the app? It's now with my watch only and neither of my watches S7-S8 will connect with them, I also have the Galaxy S24 and S25 and they don't work either.... sounds like a executive decision from someone who doesn't use their own products.... 👀

Won’t update software

Very annoying app in so many ways - but especially in perpetually being unable to connect to the server to check or download software updates. Is not even able to show current version. Even worse than other Samsung apps, which is saying something!

Have never been able to update the software so it’s years old. Cant change anything in the app, so my buds have to stay as they are.
